Please read these terms carefully before using KosTap Guide. They set out the basis on which we make the site available to you.
KosTap Guide (“KosTap Guide”, “we”, “us”) publishes and operates the website at kostapguide.gr, a local business directory and travel guide for Kos Island, Greece. You can reach us at kostapapplication@gmail.com or +30 694 535 4127.
By visiting or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. If you use the site on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
KosTap Guide is an information service. We list businesses, places and activities on Kos Island, show them on a map, and publish articles and guides about the island. The site is free to use and does not require an account.
We are not a booking service, a travel agency, a marketplace or a payment provider. We do not sell the goods or services described in any listing, we do not take reservations or payments on behalf of listed businesses, and we are not an agent for them.
You may browse, search and share the site freely. You agree not to:
We may restrict or withdraw access to the site from anyone who breaches these terms.
Listings are compiled from information supplied by business owners and from publicly available sources. We take reasonable care over what we publish, but we cannot guarantee that any listing is complete, current or accurate — opening hours, prices, contact details and services change often and without notice.
A listing is not an endorsement, certification or recommendation. Inclusion in our directory does not mean we have inspected, approved or vetted a business, and the order in which businesses appear does not indicate quality or ranking unless we say so explicitly.
We decide which businesses to list and may edit, reorder, suspend or remove any listing at any time, including on request from the business concerned.
Business owners may apply to be listed. Applying does not guarantee a listing, and we may decline or remove an application without giving reasons.
If you submit a business for listing, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, that the business is lawfully operating, and that you own or are licensed to use every photograph, logo, name and description you send us. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, store, resize, translate and display that material on the site and in our related channels for as long as the listing remains published. You can ask us to correct or remove your listing at any time by contacting us.
Where the site lets you submit a review, a message or other content, you remain responsible for what you send. Reviews must describe your own genuine experience. Do not submit content that is dishonest, paid for by the business being reviewed, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, or that discloses another person’s private information.
Submissions are reviewed before publication. We may publish, decline, edit for length or clarity, or later remove any submission, and we are not obliged to publish anything you send. By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish and display it on the site.
Reviews reflect the views of the people who wrote them, not ours.
Any contact, booking, purchase, agreement or dispute between you and a business listed on the site is solely between you and that business. We are not a party to it and accept no responsibility for the goods or services provided, for the conduct of any business or visitor, or for any loss arising from those dealings. Please check details directly with the business before you rely on them or travel.
The site uses third-party services, including mapping, hosting and analytics providers, and links to external websites and social media pages. Map locations are approximate and should not be relied on for navigation, emergencies or safety-critical decisions. We do not control third-party sites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
The site design, text, guides, articles, photographs we own, the KosTap Guide name and our logo are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and share links to our pages, and quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back. Anything more — reproducing, republishing or adapting our content — needs our written permission.
Business names, logos and photographs supplied by listed businesses remain the property of those businesses.
We aim to keep the site available and up to date, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site, including any listing or feature, at any time and without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, bookings or opportunity, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on any information published on it.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Greek or European Union law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
When you contact us, apply to list a business or submit a review, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message — and use them only to respond to you, to manage your listing and to moderate and publish submissions. We do not sell your personal data.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing kostapapplication@gmail.com.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by Greek law, and the courts of Kos, Greece have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
For questions about these terms, corrections to a listing, or removal requests, contact us at kostapapplication@gmail.com or +30 694 535 4127.
