Traditional Mill of Antimachia

In the heart of the village Antimachia and across the Traditional House one can see and visit the Traditional Mill of Antimachia (known to locals as The Mill of Amallos). The visitor can tour the three floors of the Mill and take a quick trip back in time by observing the mill's operation and the transformation of wheat into flour before the modern flour industry took its place. On the ground floor, Mr. Amallos has arranged the space to resemble the room where the miller used to welcome customers, rest, and sometimes even spend the night. The room features a simple wooden bed, a few stools, and many personal and family heirlooms. Additionally, on the ground floor, there is the stone pendulum, a large, perforated stone with a rope that reaches up to the miller's rudder (steering wheel) on the second floor, and with the appropriate movements, the millstone's rotations are regulated, even stopping the mill.
