About Limnionas
Limnionas is a small traditional harbour located approximately 43 kilometres southwest of the town of Kos and 5 kilometres north of Kefalos. Known as the most traditional seaside spot on the island, Limnionas is actually a secluded and tranquil beach, serving as a welcoming refuge for small fishing and tourist boats during bad weather. The word "Limnionas" etymologically comes from the word "limani" (meaning port in Greek) influenced by the word "limni" (meaning lake). Limnionas is divided into Kalo Limnionas and Kako Limnionas, which are neighboring coves named based on their suitability for docking boats—Kalo Limnionas being suitable and Kako Limnionas not.
