Hippocratic Municipal Library

The Hippocratic Municipal Library opened its doors to the public in 2002. It is situated in the central square of Kos Town, Eleftherias Square on the first floor of the Aigli Complex and Orpheas cinema. More than 7.500 book titles are available in the library, most of which have been donated by publishers and individuals. Here, one can find special historic and folklore records. The books are classified into various categories depending on their subject, the majority of which deal with literature, medicine and history. Additionally, there is a Youth Information centre which is fully equipped with P.Cs and access to the internet. On the second floor, rare Italian architectural designs and other documents are hosted.
