About Catholic Church, Agnus Dei
The Catholic Church of the Holy Cross is currently the only Catholic Church on the island of Kos. It is primarily known as Agnus Dei—The Lamb of God, which was the original name of the parish in the past. The Catholic cemetery is also located at the same site as the church, on Anapafseos Street, almost adjacent to the Orthodox cemetery. A notable feature is the cypress-lined road leading to the impressive entrance. Along with the chapel and cemetery, one can also see the Monument for the 103 fallen Italian officers at Linopoti. Memorial services are frequently held to honour their memory.
